Clay Desiccant Description:
Clay is one of the efficient and cost-effective desiccant options available for a range of applications, including silica gel, activated charcoal, and molecular sieve.
The clay desiccant is used to regulate moisture and
humidity, as well as to remove or avoid mould, mildew, rust, and odour. The
clay is not used inside storage and shipping containers, where there is a
greater risk of moisture and humidity affecting materials that have been
processed for a long time.
It can withstand temperatures of up to 120 degrees
Fahrenheit. Other forms of desiccants are needed for higher temperatures, as
moisture may be leaked back into the shipping container and cause damage to the
goods.
The clay is made up of small grey balls. Clay's adsorption
potential is smooth at low humidity levels and improves as the relative
humidity (RH) grows. Clay-based desiccant packages have superior moisture
retention in enclosed tubes.
So, if you're going to export your products through shipping
or a long journey, you'll need clay desiccant to keep your products functional
in every industry. They have the potential to create an impenetrable moisture-proof shield around your product's packaging, shielding it from any
moisture-related damage.
Packets, pockets, or pouches made of Tyvek paper, cotton
fabric, polyester cloth, and non-woven bags are all available for this clay. It
is quickly regenerable and does not swell when water vapour, moisture, or
humidity is absorbed.
